I Left My Heart In Kashmir

posted Tuesday, 17 April 2007

I left my heart in Kashmir.

On Dal Lake. At the foothill of the Himalayas. Somewhere between the golden mustard fields, the apple blossoms and the glaciers.

Sledding

More Kashmir pictures to come, as soon as I sort through all 836 of them.

Wow! You got the best birthday present! I've always heard of how beautiful it is there-now I see why! Snow and scenery. So cool. And great to see you on a sled with a big smile on your birthday face!

Hey, that's a gorgeous place! No wonder India and Pakistan fight over it. Wonderful shot of you on the sled. Looking forward to the other 830 photos.

I have been anxiously awaiting these pictures this week. It makes me want to take a vacation in India next year. It is beautiful- your photography once more is outstanding. I wonder, is this at all considered a vacation spot for anyone? Can't wait for more!

sister M: Yup, it definitely was a fabulous birthday present.

Joanne: B&B = Boat & Breakfast? :o)

Dale: Yes, it's easy to see why it's disputed territory.

Shannon: Come on down! Yes, Kashmir is definitely a popular vacation spot - it used to be one of the top spots in Asia, in fact. Sadly, with all the turmoil, tourism has decreased considerably.

Gayathri: Go for it...you won't regret it...

Meena: Yes, you did indeed give me so much trouble...glad to know you are finally happy :o)

Sheila: Thanks! You and Coleman would have loved it here, I think.

Suchitra: Oh wow! I love being on par with Harry Potter. The only thing better would be to be as rich as Harry Potter's author... ;o)

Oh wow, I must say that Kashmir is such a place where not only you but I will also not be able to bring my heart back.

Well I have just now read your blog and believe me its' very good to see some of the snap of Kashmir. But can any one of you help me to search for cheap accomodation in Jodhpur as in the next month I will be visiting Jodhpur along with my friends. The hotel must be very comfortable and should contribute to the scenic beauty of Jodhpur.

Please help me......
